Women Science Teachers Program

The first level approach targets the Women Science Teachers in both Primary and secondary schools. It is premised on a TOT approach that aims of building the capacity of women teachers in ICTs to improve learning outcomes and also address the issues affecting Girl-Child pursuance of STEM studies. The teachers undertake capacity building trainings in which they are introduced to computer systems, hardware and software and equip them with skills to teach creative coding through games and apps as well as how to facilitate an hour of code sessions in their schools.


The training leverages on the Microsoft Certified Educator portal and Windows apps such as OneNote platform to provide the teachers with additional skills for integrating ICT in teaching and learning. The Training focuses on innovations in education and teaching with technology for the 21st century learning designs. The teachers are introduced to the ACWICT career Source Book for career counselling and mentorship activities.
